Props to Joe and his team! I clunked my car into Flamingo today because it was as far as I could make it from my Dr's office. I knew there was an issue with my tire and eventually saw a huge mass of metal and a screw implanted in it as I parked it on the side of the street. I live 20miles away so Joe and his team graciously put my spare on and wished me Happy Holidays and sent me on my way free of charge. They've restored my faith in humanity and auto shops.
Honest mechanics - they'll tell you when something needs to be repaired and when something can wait, unlike the dealers.
I would not recommend Flamingo Automotive to anyone. I brought my car in and they replaced my brake pads, when in actuality the problem was my wheel bearing. I felt extremely worked over as a woman. Nannying, I was driving an unsafe vehicle with children!!! :(

These guys are great! Honest and dependable.
Lousy Customer Service – I heard good things about Flamingo so I took my BMW there. When I arrived though several employees saw me, not one came over to talk with me. After about 10 minutes I walked up to a young man working on a Benz. I explained my problem. He said I needed to speak to the owner because he didn't work on German cars. He disappeared into the garage. I waited in the office for 30 minutes and no one else appeared and the young man never came back. I walked out and left.

Best Automotive Repair Shop in Austin Hands Down!! – Flamingo Automotive is the best service in Automotive Repair and Maintenance in Austin. I came in for an Oil Change but when they noticed that my check engine light was on, they went ahead and ran the Auto Diagnostics just to make sure. They identified the problem and made sure I knew my options. They even recommended the cheap way for me to fix it myself! Do not trust – I went here because they specialize in Nissans. They told me I needed a new transmission. Took it somewhere else and it only needed a sensor. About 10% of the cost of a transmission. Terrible at returning calls to boot.
