They manufactured my steering column too short. When I called them about it they acted like it was my fault and told me to ship it back at my expense for inspection. A month goes by and I hear nothing from them. I called them again to check on it and they told me that it is still sitting in the box and they haven't looked at it yet. They eventually got back to me and said that they made a mistake and cut the tube too short and they would fix it and send it back. Little to no R&D done on the product I bought. Should have been bolt in but I never got it to work. Countless hours and dollars for an experienced mechanic and fitment was impossible. Customer service/tech was ok but even they were at a loss which led me to believe they skimped on the r&d because I have a super common chevy car. I wouldn't waste money on a rack from flaming river.
Publicly sharing what I wrote in response to their survey questions: I was very surprised to find out how hard it was to assemble the right collection of Flaming River parts to end up with a collapsible steering column for a 1966 Mustang. It's literally impossible to do without calling your tech support. Imagine my surprise when Brett (x129) told me NOT to order the '65-'66 steering column FR2000MU1LC and to order the '67-'70 column FR2000MU2LC instead.
