Asked simple and straightforward questions and provided an actual numerical range for the project I described. This was very helpful because, as someone who has never done a home renovation project before, I had no idea at all what to expect. This gave me a wide range, based on materials and project scale, from the general minimum to maximum cost in my area. It was very fast and gave me some peace of mind and refrence for when I get in-person estimates.
Roofing calculator gave me a good idea of what to expect as far as pricing my roof replacement. We met with a few few contractors and the one we ultimately decided to go with happened to be one suggested by this site. I would encourage anyone to use this site to help inform them.
I used this to calculate the number of square feet of my roof before taking estimates on replacing my roof. The first estimate said my roof was fifty percent bigger, the next contractor said it was even bigger, the third contractor was spot on and got the contract.

Who know about roofs other then knowing they are on top of you house, the information I got was very helpful for when you are going to talk to roofers such as how many square feet, lets face it you have no clue and a roofer could tell you anything, in my case all the roofers were in the range that I was told my roof was, the price range that I was given for my roof from high to low was perfect, and again in my case when you I had a top notch company known in my area and they were at the lower end in your pricing information ... read more
