I’m trying to leave a review for the John Wayne Airport Five Vines that just opened a couple weeks ago. We sat for 20 minutes without receiving any service while the strawberry-blonde waitress walked past us multiple times and seemed determined to avoid eye contact. Meanwhile, the short-haired guy spent about 15 minutes attending to a table of four while we sat completely ignored. We eventually left without ever getting to order, which is an impressive way to lose customers before they’ve even had a chance to spend money. The wine selection is impressive, and the food pairings were delicious and thoughtfully prepared. Everything felt fresh and well presented, while the service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. It’s a great place for a casual night out, a date, or catching up with friends.
