First, Dustin the owner explained the SMUD usage cost and compared it to the production cost on an annual basis. This was very misleading as I based my decision on getting solar as I am retired on the money it would save me. SMUD has not used this type of billing for 3 years. The production/ usage billing is on a monthly basis now. When I received my first, se one and third bill I asked him and he said that he never said this when I confronted him on what the SMUD representative told me. We thoroughly enjoyed working with Five Star Solar. We actually got the work done years ago, but we're so happy I remember the whole experience. I've been referring them to anyone that wants solar. From the salesman who was friendly to talk to and happy to walk us through what to expect and even how to check licenses. Then there was the walk through and the poor patient man also willing to explain costs over and over again. No one made us feel pressured to hand over the first check.
