We had James Brewer with Five Star Roofing come over to replace our roof. I just cannot say enough good things about him and his crew. They were extremely hard workers, very professional, worked together as a team, and it was amazing watching them work! He delivered the shingles on Wednesday afternoon and did the entire job from taking off the old shingles, replacing some rotten wood, putting on the new shingles, and left my house and yard spotless, and they were finished by 6:00 PM. I don't no we're some of the bad reviews are coming from but my experience was top notch.He replaced my roof in 2020.I called James for a quote left a message with in 1 hr returned call said he would be out next day.And guess what next day,boom there he was.How often to contractor's don't show up.James gave a fair Quote did the job with in week.Very satisfied.5 years later had A vent leak from last hurricane.I have not talk him in 5 years,returned my call Immediately and came out next day, order vent mission accomplished Tha... read more
We used James Brewer and Five Star Roofing to replace the shingled roof and vinyl siding on our house. James was always available to answer any questions we had throughout the project. His crews were fast and efficient. My wife and I are very happy with the results of their work. I would highly recommend James and Five Star Roofing for any of your roofing or vinyl siding needs.
James Brewer and 5 Star Roofing replaced my roof on a commercial building in Barnwell, SC. The roof has been leaking since the very first rain after replacement. James sent non-English speaking employees to put a cover over the roof. The employees nailed the tarps to my new roofing shingles with roofing nails. The next wind blew the cover off and left unknown number of nail holes in my new roof. James has not responded to my calls, messages nor emails since the beginning of 2025. Had 5 Star replace roof in 2021. Leaked, shortly thereafter, and they did seal the area of the leak. 08/2024 leak into kitchen ceiling. Sent 2 non English speaking men to inspect. Never heard back had to call and make trip to business. I called for insurance investigation and conclusion was new flashing at chimney line put over old flashing which caused buckling and leakage. 5 Star is not taking responsibility for non functioning flashing causing leakage to kitchen ceiling.
