The exterior of the building is a reproduction of Ye Olde Bell, England's oldest Inn located in Hurley-on-Thames, not far from London. The decor resembles an English tavern to match the outside, and the waitresses are dressed in super-sexy outfits straight out of a movie about Merrie Olde England. Not for small children – Another customer approached our table to complain about my 13-month-old child. I was appauled because this never happened before, and the noise level in the restaurant was already loud. Our table thought this man was joking, but he was a real snob. It was my first and last time to dine there. The food was good, but not worth it.
GREAT FOOD – The chocolate souffle was amazing, and the service was great. Ms. Powers was very nice to us. My surf&turf was really good.
Great prime rib! – Part of the Lawry's family, so the prime rib is fantastic.... Especially if you can't get all the way to LA everytime you'd like to! Be sure to dry the creamed horseradish, it is to die for!
BEST PRIME RIB AROUND!!! – Go to this place around Christmas time for the best atmosphere. The prime rib isn't better anywhere. This restaurant is my favorite place to take my family during the holidays. It's classy with excellent service.
OK Service, Average Food – My Husband and I went for my Birthday last week and were surprised by the low quality of the Prime Rib. This place has gone downhill. The PR is better at Mimi's , save your $. The Salad with the creamy dressing was good.
great dinner! – We had a great dinner here and our server, Ms. Glass was also very nice. Out of all the Lawry's restaurants in LA, this was the best in food and ambience. we sat in the atrium room and it was very nice, would love to come during the day to see what it is like. A great holiday meal... – We went to Five Crowns for Thanksgiving and had a great experience - fantastic food -wonderful value - ridiculous wait (to be expected). We came back for Christmas and thought - WOW! What great service. It outshined the mediocre entres and overpriced first course. If you like prime rib - this is a great place. Steaks and fish are abundant in choice - but not in flavor. Service is - unfortunately - extremely dependant on the night and your server. Overrated – I would say the Five crowns has a great atmosphere, good service, and nice presentation. The food is just o.k. I wasn't impressed. We had the prime rib with crab and the sesame crusted halibut, so maybe we ordered the wrong things. Everything was great besides the food. The food was average and a bit overpriced.
Amazing Prime Rib?? – A large group of friends went for Lunch last week and what a dissapointment! The PR is the Worst! Tough, Chewy and just low quality. The one bright spot is the Creamy Salad Dressing. Houstons's PR is a thousand times better.
