Gym is okay, it's the people that use it that's where the issue lies, and with no negative feedback or repercussions from management, you'll often see the following: People hogging equipment for 15+ minutes while supersetting and scrolling through Instagram. Emails to the people using the gym are cool and all, but expecting them to follow gym etiquette without any of the people who work there giving general reprimands puts the pressure on the people who pay to create unnecessary animosity towards disrespectful people. A great selection of nice equipment and a pool (kudos for bringing back the traditional circle swim system). It's a very popular location, however, and gets very crowded during peak times. There's also a strong "see and be seen" vibe to this place and a notable lack of basic gym etiquette, such as not using weight machines with seats to lounge and scroll and not taking selfies in the locker rooms. Patrick is the reason I came back to Fitness SF when I moved back to the city. He’s the kind of person who actually remembers you, makes you feel welcome.
Regular gym goer at Fitness SF Fillmore for the past 3 years. Always enjoy being there and being welcomed by the lovely staff! Especially appreciate Patrick Wayne, he was the first person to welcome me at the gym when I had first joined and has always been so kind and helpful since! Definitely would recommend this gym to folks who live in the area for the range of equipment and also for the lovely staff who make the experience even better
Patrick Wayne gave my partner and me a great tour of the Fillmore facility. He shared a lot of detailed information and answered all of our questions. We are excited to have become members of Fitness SF. Patrick and his team are pleasant, helpful, welcoming, and professional.
