I'm completely irritated with this place I've been a member for about 4 months one of the reasons I joined this gym was that the McHenry location has racquet ball courts, a pool, spa and a sauna, since the time I have joined the sauna has never worked and the spa consistently is broken. I asked the front desk tonight and I got this response "we keep ordering the wrong part"...really? Whose fixing it a 4 year old. Just filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and will be filing in small claims court to reclaim fees that were overcharged to my account for months. This company is quick to take your money but hides behind low-level front desk employees with no authority to handle complaints. For 6 months I've been referred to their website for assistance with a simple billing issue, and have had no results. Supposedly there are no fees to cancel... Lie. You have to pay for the following month. It is unethical to make members pay a membership fee when they are moving to a city where there is no Fitness Evolution! Site refuses to wave this $40 fee. They are requiring me to pay $60 to cancel membership... What?! How is this ethical? I know this fee has been waved for other people with this exact situation. When it was Modesto Courtroom I would have given a very good rating. Since becoming fitness evolution I can only give it a fair. The initial communication regarding group classes was poor, and confusing. Removing sections has caused classes to fill up half an hour before start time locking out new people and turning away long time members. Too bad, it was a great place.
