Bartender refused survice because customer objected to overly strong bitters in drink dispute neighboring bar at closing suggesting popular patron whom is in hotel to move to barrel room bar. Bartender had served us as customers previously in the evening and we had dinner accros the hall prior to interaction. Bartenders at previous fitgers brewhous saw no issue but after stating drink was heavy on bitters Bartender became defensive and refused service.

This is a cozy, dark pub spot for when you don’t need a full, varied menu. We popped in during a Saturday evening. My husband had some of Fitger’s own brews, while I was happy to get a Wild State Cider. We shared pretzel sticks, which were hot, soft, and delicious. Great cheese dip, too, with a perfectly thick texture that stayed on the bread. The room is pretty small but wasn't obnoxiously noisy; we had no trouble conversing.

Please do not go here if you are under the age of 30. We went here for a date around 6:30pm, Saturday Nov 1st. The bartender asked “are these real?” about our ID’s (we are both 21 years old), and told us then “the serial numbers look weird”. Stared at our real IDs for a solid minute. We were able to show second forms of ID to confirm our birthdays and he made our drinks. An apology for this misunderstanding would have been appreciated. My wife and I went out for a nightcap and stumbled upon the Fitgers Brewhouse. Very cool building and space. When inside, we encountered the barrel room and found a table. We sat patiently for about 15 min while the bartender talked with the 4 other patrons in the bar. We eventually went to the bar directly and got our drinks. Never were we greeted or offered any service. Nice drinks, terrible service.
