Very upset with my experience here. After very subpar service, our bill was brought to us. Everything came out to roughly $185 after tax. It was implied at the bottom of the check that a $30 tip was recommended. We weren’t happy with the service or the food that night, so we gave a $25 tip. Still more than we should have. The "tip" being referred to in this instance is an standard 18% gratuity that gets added to larger groups, a very common policy among the restaurant industry. Went during happy hour 4-7 pm and sat in a booth in the bar area (which is where you have to sit to get specials). The bar was mellow, seemed like well-behaved locals, lol. Ordered wings, oysters, crabettes, and peel & eat shrimp. Delicious! Also ordered a hamburger and a turkey club which were both great. Definitely recommend.
Nice intimate spot for date night, shrimp were ok and crabcakes were nice size, for being in D.C. area, the cold beer was on point.I have to comeback to try oyster bar and clams, for my full approval.....
I’ve been going to the Fish Market for 32 years... They have the freshest seafood around. The service is quick and efficient. This is my favorite restaurant.
