A real surprise We dined with our 2 kids and had low expectations but was pleasantly surprised but the quality of food and service. The fish was simple but perfectly prepared. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. PROS: great fish CONS: Crowded, casual atmosphere
Yum! Love this place. I have been going here since I was little and my favorite is the clam chowder and now it's a favorite for my children.
Nice Great place to eat and buy fish. They have a fish counter set up as you enter to buy fish and fish tanks all around the restaurant. It has the best bread too. Fish is to die for and service is always top of the line. In an area with other restaurants not hard to find. We always do lunch there.
1 of the 2 Best Ever This is one of my three generation family's two favorite restaurants ever. There is another FHVC in Carlsbad that is equally good. We first discovered the place in 1978. The fish is prepared so well, and the side dishes are wonderful, as well as the soup. You just can't beat it, and the price is right for us modest spenders.
Clam Chowder! Lunch time! Anyone up for the best New England AND Manhattan clam chowder in town? Each location has the same food and the same friendly service. I simply can't say enough about it! The prices go up for dinner time, but, that's not a problem, cause it's WORTH every penny!
Fish House Vera Cruz This is one of my favorite restaurants! I'm not a big fan of seafood, but I do love the seafood here! Everything is fresh and full of flavor! Your taste-buds will not be disappointed! I really like the shrimp on a skewer with cheesy mashed potatoes and the salmon.
Fresh Fish and Friendly! The fish at Fish House Vera Cruz is among the freshest I have ever eaten! The service is great! They sell fresh fish market style, you can buy and take home to prepare yourself, also!
Nice casual seafood dining This is a great seafood restaurant. Every time my grandparents are in town, they want to go here. Although the layout is open and a little noisy, the food is worth it. Try the monk fish, it tastes just like lobster at 1/4 the price.
