I have nothing but the utmost love and respect for this hospital and its staff. After filing a police report for a DV incident, I went to First Health, Hoke County Campus; and from the moment I walked through the doors until I was wheeled out in a wheelchair after d/c; the nurses, lab/xray/CT techs, admin, etc., were so kind and compassionate… they were so gentle with me with the pain I was in and incredibly sensitive to what I had endured at the hands of someone whom I thought loved me. Update: Response to your response, if patient relations take concerns seriously, it should be a seamless process for patients and advocates to reach out. Not give a number and it goes to voicemail. I called the phone number you publicly provided, and it rings twice before going straight to voicemail. If you're asking patients to contact Patient Relations, the process should be accessible and easy to navigate. saw a comment about nurse austin fann and wanted to say my wife had a similar interaction with him and even now she is uneasy to go to that location. First health has always been our family’s go to we always felt like first health provided excellent care and understanding and everyone is treated equal. The nurse fann had terrible bedside manner and barely examined my wife and actually made her feel like she was a germ. He didn’t take her pain serious he offered her Tylenol which she took at home. I've used this ER several times over the last few years, and I had to do so again. Of the four times I've come, only once was a poor visit, but last night was a great one despite the huge crowd of people needing to be seen. I refuse to be seen Cape Fear Valley in Fayetteville, and it's absolutely worth the drive to come here. The doctors always go above and beyond, the nurses are lighthearted and caring.
