I had a disappointing experience with the service department, specifically with Jeffrey Lawyer. When I walked in, there were no customers being assisted at the counter, yet I stood there for several minutes before being acknowledged. When Jeffrey finally spoke to me, one of the first things he said was, “I can’t help you if the car isn’t here.” He never asked where the vehicle was and simply assumed it wasn’t on the property. We're relocating to eastern Virginia and needed a dealer to service our 2025 Outback. FIrst Team came recommended and I can't disagree. From start to finish they were nothing but professional, courteous and informative. I made an appointment in advance and they had me in and out of there in under an hour - with a nice video of all the work and inspections they completed. They're definitely our dealership now. Hopefully, when the time comes, the Sales Dept will be able to match up with the Service Dept.
I bought a 2026 Crosstrek from Ms Karen. She told me about the forever program and got me the best deal of my new car. If anyone is looking for a great service and a good deal. First Team Subaru is the way to go. Thank you again Ms karen!
Jon in the service department was extremely helpful today when my car wouldn’t start and had to be towed in. He kept me up to date throughout the process and had my car ready to go before the end of the day. I am always pleased at the quality of service at First Team and with the video I receive explaining how my car is holding up and what is needed. I highly recommend First Team Subaru from purchase to service. Always a great experience. They will have my business for years to come. And Jon is top knotch.
We’ve lived in Hampton Roads for 2.5 years and own two Subaru Outbacks. We bought one of them from First Team Subaru Norfolk because they had the trim/model we wanted, but we’ve avoided them the other time due to pushy sales tactics. This review, though, is specifically about their service department, which has been consistently disorganized and dishonest, with a particular service advisor who defaults to being defensive and argumentative.
