My experience with First Team Kia of Suffolk and Kia Corporate over a front radar issue with my 2023 Kia K5 has been a letdown. Over four weeks ago, the safety system failed due to a sensor misalignment. After two visits—where the issue was initially dismissed despite being replicated—the dealership quoted $2,800 for a bumper bar replacement, claiming an “outside force” despite an adjuster with 12+ years finding no damage, confirming a mechanical failure. I absolutely do not recommend the service department at first team kia. The service advisors, if you can actually speak to one, are horrible at follow up and through. Patrick, service advisor, in particular, will not follow up, claim he never received messages, and outright lie. My car was at this service center for over a month, after $1600 to diagnose and fix the problems, I still drove away with idiot lights lit up like a Christmas tree. Do not bring your vehicle to this location
I absolutely LOVE First Team KIA of Suffolk. From the amazing experience with Adam and Patrick purchasing my vehicle, to the incredible service KIA still provides post-sale, I am elated that I bought my 2024 Forte from this location. To be honest, my very first purchase (2021 Sorento) with Casey KIA of Newport News, and the service thereafter, put a very bad taste in my mouth.
