If I could give 0 stars, I would. I rarely write reviews, but this situation DESERVES one. I leased a Kia K5 in 2021, with my lease ending in October of this year. In July, I went in for service and told the dealership I wanted to buy out my lease. They provided a quote, I paid with my Navy Fed check, and the sale was finalized. Now, when registering the car in TN, I’m told I owe sales tax because it was resold to me—despite paying tax upfront.
