Horrible place. They made me feel worse. The counselor was very demeaning and made me feel like my depression was my fault. She also asked me very personal questions which were uncomfortable and had absolutely nothing to do with anything else. Horrible place, please do not go here.
I have been going to First Step since January and have had an overall great experience. My counselor is fantastic, she is easy to talk to and very welcoming unlike others I have tried out before. I'm defiantly happy with the progress I am making and the support I receive. The staff is very kind and have only have minimal organizational issues from what I've seen.
A waste of time and money. My daughter was worse off after therapy sessions with counselor, Kerry Fleming, than prior to visiting. Ms. Fleming did not address my concerns or problems. She felt is was better not to speak about them at all. But isn't that why one seeks therapy in the first place... to discuss problems you are having? She never responded to my phone calls or emails.
