I had an extremely disappointing experience with First Merchants Bank and would not recommend them to anyone. I visited the bank to cash a payroll check issued by my employer, which listed First Merchants Bank as the issuing bank. Due to switching banks, my direct deposit did not go through, so this paper check was my only means of accessing my pay. One of my best experiences everyone was very nice and helpful and the branch manager was very helpful and nice. I recommend if u want to open an account this is the place to do so at!!!
Good people with good service had nothing but good experiences.
Wish I could give ZERO stars. Their ATM ate 700 dollars of my only money a week ago, my account is negative now. And they haven't offered a credit to help me until they fix their own mistake. I called this morning and they said they were working on it and it should be done by this afternoon, now they're saying that it's still unresolved for whatever reason and they'll now call me tomorrow. Filed a fraud dispute at this branch. Waited a couple of weeks. Nothing was refunded to my account. Could not reach this branch via phone. Called 1800 number & there was no record of the dispute even being filed. Go elsewhere. This branch really dropped the ball.
