We selected First Choice for hospice care when our mother reached the final months of her life. Words cannot express how grateful we are for the fantastic care they provided our mom. The RNs, CNAs, social workers and chaplain who attended to her needs were all wonderful. They not only cared for Mom, but also counseled and prepared my sister and I as to what we should expect as Mom’s journey progressed. I would give less than a 1 if I was able. This hospice took care of my uncle for less than a month. Their after hours nurse did not want to come check on my uncle even though we asked directly for her to come. His regular nurse took over four hours to come evaluate him after he fell and hurt himself. When he was in a pain crisis the nurse actually said she was going to finish seeing two other patients before coming to help him because she was closer to them. My 98 year old mother, Emma, was cared for by their wonderful team of hospice caregivers, for ~5 months. She was a handful due to anxiety/fear and high mental energy level, tho was bedridden. The team took care of her in the best possible ways. I & my brother will be forever grateful. This is not part of a big conglomerate like most, and there is a world of difference. Pick them is my sincere advice.
