My parents and I both became FirstBank customers ‘back in the day’ when FirstBank took over Fidelity Federal Savings and Loan in Galesburg IL. My father, after retiring, used to walk up to the branch to conduct business (I was working overseas at that time) and talked to the staff as well as the branch manager (who was a girl I went to school with). Bank is ok, Manager is great, Staff friendly, don't like they have no Zelle account and you have to deal with a person from back east through a computer.
I’ve had a great experience with First Bank. The staff is polite, helpful, and they really make banking stress-free. The branch is always clean and welcoming, and I never have to wait too long. Their online banking works smoothly too. A solid and reliable bank!
Not a big fan of the bank after my experience with their merchant, so I closed my accounts down. But the branch manager and employees here are truly a class act team. They addressed my concern and cared for my concerns. Maybe Someday ill have. a different experience using them for personal banking.
