I recently had my hip replaced by Dr Jonathan Shaw; he is EXCELLENT (see my review of him). Anyway, he commissioned First at Home to provide nursing and physical therapy care for the first two weeks post surgery. My PT was Orlando Chiang; he is the reason for the five star rating. Cathy was amazing. I can’t say how much I appreciate her. Even though I was not able to use the facility, she was kind enough to point me in the right direction to help my mom get the treatment she needs. This is not something you see often in today’s society so I cannot say how much I appreciate Cathy and what a valuable asset. She is to First at home.
I would like to see the staff at first at home to practice standard infection control techniques. The nurses don’t wash their hands until they are asked to do so, and when they do it it’s a joke. Some of the nurses showed up with dirty scrubs, no name tags, and they don’t disinfect their equipment in between patients. The DOH should Pay them a visit. Physical therapy was ok .

This past week my daughter Katie, was recovering from spinal surgery. I was with my daughter both times that Nurse Allison Stepanek visited her. Allison was beyond our expectations. She was knowledgeable, , very caring, and professional. She is a diamond in the rough. Thank you Allison for all you did!
