Dale Commons vs O'Conner Woods (Stockton) We moved my mother from a very nice Senior Living center in Stockton CA (O'Conner Woods) to Dale Commons to be closer to our family. Dale Commons looks good from the outside but the meals served and the quality of care does not come close to O'Connors Woods. Service director Aarti Jattan does not follow through in a timely manor when asked to take care of certin matters. She knods her head and smiles but does not follow through. Concerned Daughter We visited several senior communities in many areas, including the Bay Area, Stockton, Manteca, and Modesto. Dale Commons always came out on top. We found the staff (particularly Charmain) to be extremely caring and attentive. The residents are equally as welcoming and friendly. The building and grounds are beautiful, and the community is pet friendly. The food may not have been as top notch as some of the other communities, but that wasn't a deal breaker. a new facility This is a new facility and immaculately kept. They are friendly and helpful and willing to go out of the way to provide the service you need. They offer many different plans depending on your abilities.
scum lords the worst management ever.its safe to say that if you need or want anything fixed you might be looking for another place to stay.i tried to get my toilet fixed the lady told me i should stop clogging it.i got mad she got off the phone.the next day i have a paper stating i have ten days to come up with 440 for a pet deposit that i already paid or to move out.

A NIGHTMARE! Beware People! Do not rent here! They have new management. She was a tenant. Very inexperienced and believes she can make up her own rules, and that your rights as a tenant do not count or matter. She will try to intimidate you and will use whatever means she can to do it. There have been many cars broken into, and even with all their new fancy cameras, and claims of a safe monitored parking lot....nothing is recovered, and no one caught! Watch out! very very bad practices My son applied to the fir's apartments and because he is on ssi he needed a co signer. Me and his dad were happy to co- sign and we were approved. Then they asked us to fill out a form and have it notorized that we would pay the rent if he could not, so we did that too. then they said he could have the apartment if he paid triple the deposit, that would be 900.00 plus the rent. If he would have told us that information before we would have never applied. I would never recomend the fir's to anyone afte... read more
The Best!!! My parents have lived here for over two years. It is not cheap, but you get what you pay for. The facilities are first class. The dining room is like a restaurant. The staff is incredible. They have outstanding activities. Most important, the staff really cares and knows how to meet the needs of the people who live there.
