Car just needed an inspection dropped off 3 days ago. Didn't hear anything from them for a day and a half and no one would answer my call. Finally got through to someone and said it was gonna be test driven again and they would get back to me. Another whole day goes by and no one calls me and no one answers my call still!
I had a great experience at Firestone in Altoona. The manager, Catherine, worked my car in for an oil change and completed the service in a timely matter. She let me know my battery tested bad and gave me a very affordable quote on a battery with three year warranty and roadside assistance. I will definitely be back for the battery and future car needs.
Customers and job seekers beware, I only worked here for a short time but saw a lifetime of internal corruption. Nepotism, shady mechanical work, you name it. They put the "complete" only before dysfunction. I had a brake caliper lock up on me on my way to work so I purchased the parts through the company and did the work during downtime. They decided since I didnt charge myself a labor line I should be terminated. No warning, just a random policy I was never told.
Make sure you do not wait on your vehicle at the store. Drop it off and pick it up later. I waited for 4 hours to have tires replaced and I had an appointment. Totally unacceptable
