Failed State inspection for burned out marker lights. $450 estimate to replace. Also bad tie rod ends, $355 and almost worn out rear brakes. Brakes were just replaced. Put in $14 worth of light bulbs. Took somewhere else for inspection. Asked specifically about tie rod ends. Agreed worn, but well within spec. Never again. When you fail a Virginia State safety inspection, you essentially hold my car hostage. $20- $30 to change burned out lights, OK. Not over $300 and other work that isn't necessary. I brought my car in for an inspection. In order to pass it would have cost $800. Four bulbs were out which they said were in hard to reach places and would be 1 hour labor for two of the bulbs and 2 hours labor for the other two bulbs. My fiancee and I bought the bulbs for $14, watched a YouTube video and replaced them in 40 minutes! They also said the tie rods needed to be replaced and they "recommended" the rear brakes be replaced. We just replaced the brakes this past summer. What a clown show. I selected Firestone 9600 Jefferson Davis Highway to install Michelin Pilot Super Sports on my 2016 Mustang GT. Car has 255/275 offset tires. This place put the front tires on the back of the car! I thought the tires sucked because they broke loose frequently under normal acceleration. It was about 2000 miles before I noticed the tires were installed wrong. Called them up and they didn't seem as concerned as I was. Don't use them. They are all crooks. Overpriced crooks. This was my last visit there.
Very good auto shop.i have used a few times now. They don't do unexpected repairs.if something is found or needed they let you know upfront. Like others have said anything recommended is quoted.
