The worst customer service in VT. No customer service. For over 5 minutes after walking in the door I was ignored while 2 employees at the register joked around. Then another customer walked in and they helped him before me! I asked why they ignored me and allowed another customer ahead of me and the woman just shook her head. No apologies. RecommendedGreat food, best Cuban sandwich around. I love how they have re-used the old gas station. Anxiously awaiting the tables outside..........once we can eat together again.
I had the Harvest sandwich with turkey, havarti and apple chutney. The presentation was lackluster. For $10 you got a bland (looking and tasting) sandwich in a plastic basket. A little more umphf, chips, pickle would have made it more pleasing to the eye. Also not thrilled we had to bus our table.
All was great till the food got to the table. My mother's pancakes were dark and undercooked (griddle was to hot), we let a staff member know about it- he's busy but could have waited to start walking away after she finished telling him. When the pancakes were brought back to the table I noticed they were not new; the pancakes that had been cut into and taken back had been put back onto the griddle (that's a health code no no) and were basically burnt and still raw with a slimy texture in the center. Very bad pancakes (really, how hard are pancakes?!). I think there was something wrong with their batter, but they did not make new ones, so then they were greasy and still disgusting! And the counter/server was way overwhelmed. An overall bad experience. Not the best since they moved.
Delicious food! A great option for affordable, delicious lunch or brunch. Nice location that's great for people watching! Service is great and the staff are so friendly- funny and engaging, accommodating... just great. I definitely recommend!
I’m disgusted by the customer service I received today from Peter. Completely disrespectful when we called to discuss a missing item we paid for. Peter told me that wasn’t his problem. I asked to speak with a manager and was told they didn’t know when they would have one to speak with. Firebird cafe has set a new low for customer service.
Man. I have loved this place for as long as I’ve lived in Vermont but the new location has taken a toll on their productivity. There’s nowhere to stand while you’re waiting to order or waiting for a table. Once you actually get a table, the food takes FOREVER. I finally had to ask them to put it in a to go box because I just couldn’t wait more than an hour for huevos rancheros. The coffee was out on 2 different occasions, the gallon of milk they had out for the coffee was literally frozen..... I hope they get it together. Th... read more
