Avoid this HOA. Double-check your autopay. We were charged $700 in attorney fees and $250 in late fees—about 10× the legal limit—labeled as “collection costs,” with zero notice (no mail, email, or calls). Just 2 months late cost ~$750, and it kept increasing. Not worth a lawsuit—but honestly, gross.
Horton seems to feel as if it is their right to plaster feather flags, permanent signage, little lawn signs all up and down the streets near their developments - all in violation of known local ordinances. It's an I'll do what I want until somebody tells me I can't mentality. Why they feel as if taxpayers owe them free, visually polluting ad space is beyond me. Wanna sell houses? It's called the internet. Learn about it.
