new love for sweets – This place defenitely made me want to write a great review. I brought my kids to have a little treat and they loved it and so did I, even though I am not a big fan of sweets. The desserts were amazing and inexpensive averaging to about $4 each person. The staff was so friendly, which made the experience even better. My family and I defenitely want to go back to try out the lunch menu, and I would highly recommend that anyone should give this place a try, its great.
they need one in midtown! – i just loove their little pastries that just looks soo yummy and it dooes taste great. too bad they only have their three locations downtown which is a trek comin from midtown but what the hell its for the love of its chocolate pastries :-P as a dessert-aholic and chocoholic this is surely on top of my list!
love their little pastries! – They have such nice/attractive and tasty pastries-- and relatively inexpensive, too! The berry tarts are about $3, and they have a great selection of other types of cakes/tarts. I haven't had their sandwiches, but heard they are very good. I like their cakes better than whole foods...
Incredible Cake – I had ordered our son's 1st birthday cake from here. When I called, the person on the other end was incredibly nice and charming. The customer service is great and the cake was amazing. We had ordered the chocolate mousse cake . I was trying to describe what I wanted and realized it was just too complicated. The Best Desserts – I stopped in for some lunch. The sandwiches sounds really mouth-watering but, come up a little short. The DESSERTS on the other-hand are some of the best in town. All these delicate, little, mouth-watering pastries are about $3-$4 and will leave you dreaming of more.
French bakery turns out sweet treats and savory lunch fare. – Deep in the bowels of Wall Street lies this shiny spot decorated with gleaming mint-green walls and framed French stock certificates that hint at the neighboring New York Stock Exchange. Bountiful savory dishes and baked treats are all baked on the premises.
A hidden Wall Street heaven – This shop makes me feel like I'm in Paris! The atmosphere is so quaint. This seems to be a big hit and draws a large crowd, so be prepared for a wait. Had the Soup of the Day - French Onion. That was really good. Fresh onions and not a lot of cheese. Just the way I like it. Also ordered a sandwich, which was surprisingly very good! Portions are small. The pastries look soo delicious, I'll definitely have to go back to try!
Devilicious! – Have been a loyal fan at Financier since it opened in 2003 when it was a third the current size. It makes a consistent cup of coffee, lovely breakfast pastries, and decadent cakes. I've tried many of their cakes and recently bought a tray of the Petit Fours ($20 for 15 pieces), each bite was a delight filled with surprises. Their lunch is a good value (for the Wall St area.) Pricey but tasty French bites – Pricey, sinfully rich, delicious pastries delivered in great style. Lunch sandwiches and salads feature high-quality ingredients and painstaking preparation, but prices are high and portions small. Classic Croque Monsieur is the best in Manhattan, although the restaurant always runs out of these before noon. High-quality Illy coffee is amongst the best prepared in Manhattan.
