I couldn’t be more pleased. Tonight (Oct 5th) we went out to celebrate my Birthday dinner and wanted something low key and casual being both my husband and I had just got off work.
Work hard, take the night off from cooking. Order Caesar Salad, 1/2 Liter of Chianti, Large Pizza, Pepperoni, Mushroom, Onion. Extra Crispy, Extra Cheese. Perfect...........This place is always consistent. Tamara our waitress attentive and so nice. You can’t go wrong.
We were greeted with a smile and promptly seated as soon as we got there. Our waitress arrived at our table almost immediately to take our drink order and was sweet to hide my husband’s antics for my birthday dessert surprise as I questioned her (he didn’t notice I saw him talking to her as he "supposedly" went to the wash room before he sat down)
Definite Fan!! Sometimes is gets really loud - so only 4 stars. But the food is great, and the service is very friendly. The pizza is to die for! My husband recommends having the lasagna with extra cheese - baked.
All that being said my husband and I have decided after years of patronizing Filippi's in other parts of San Diego this by far will be our location of choice
I love this place. It is amazing. I love the huge portions of food and the awesome service. Everything was timed perfectly, our waitress was really friendly and sweet, and most important she was on top of everything. Every time I asked for something she got it immediately, even though it was pretty busy. She even made really great suggestions for our food. Overall I was really happy (and full) when I left.
Best pizza ever!! I have been going to this location for years.. I live in Virginia now and I haven’t found a pizza place that even comes close.. I always come here when I'm down for a family visit.. Great sandwiches, antipasti salad, and of course pizza.
Really enjoyed the pizza here!!! I am an out of Towner so I can't speak to how this place was before the remodel but the store looks very nice and open inside. I ordered pick-up and they had the pizza ready right at 20 minutes. Fantastic pepperoni and sausage pizza. Love the fact they lay the cheese on thick. Definitely suggest this place to anyone looking for a good pizza and wants something more than typical national chain pizza.
I visited the newly remodeled Filippi's. I went into the new area and sat down. I was waiting awhile until a waitress named Ashley came up to me and asked had I been helped. I said "no" and she was very bright and helpful. She took my order and made me feel like I was welcomed in the restaurant. I had some items from there appetizer menu which were good.
