Absolutely and positively the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Not because of them being rude, but because they lack the knowledge to do anything at all to actually help you. My work changed my email domain name a while back which put my account into a lock when I tried to log in with my new email. Creating a new Standard level of terrible since '86
It is so frustrating that my employer decided to switch to this 401(k) platform. This platform is stuck in the Stone Age. In the past, if I’ve ever had to request a distribution, it’s either been direct deposited, overnighted or mailed with some sort of tracking information. Although they do have an overnight option, when you click the box to have it overnighted, they may or may not overnight it. I requested a distribution for a medical procedure. "The Standard" aka StanCorp Financial is the absolute worst 401K company I have ever dealt with. They charged me ~$800 in fees this year & $75 to do a rollover out of their system to avoid future fees.
