I went directly to Fidelity to speed up the process but they lost my paperwork and/or never scanned it in. Took forever to get a supervisor on the phone days later and he just tried to cover up their mistakes

They make it extremely hard to reach them. Worst investment by far.
For the first several years, we were very, very pleased with our Fidelity advisor. We felt he understood our request to be VERY conservative with our nest egg, which he was...until Covid hit. As the market crashed we felt he did little to protect our interests and we wound up losing tens of thousands of dollars. Absolutely not how we expected Fidelity to handle our account. We were very disappointed. I won't delve into further uncomplimentary details but suffice it to say, we took our money to Merrill Lynch.
