These people make you jump through piles of fire hoops to get a benefit they advertise for their life annuity. NO OTHER ANNUITY COMPANY DOES THIS!! It's pathetic and an act of greed. Stay clear from this company.
I made the mistake of signing up for a consultation about getting F&G Life Insurance. When I saw the extortionate fees, I refused to sign the paperwork. They just took money out of my account anyway for a policy I didn't take out. Don't let these thieves get your information.
I wish I could give this company a negative rating! I paid them 114.75 monthly in good faith for 20 years for a Term policy. At the end, I canceled in writing as requested, via certified mail, to prevent them from taking a "renewal" rate of 1040.40 out of my bank account! I got a confirmation letter from F & G that they received my cancellation letter. Then I called and was assured over the phone that the "renewal" rate would not come out of my account....BUT it DID! I wish I could give this company zero stars. A elderly, disabled family member who paid his premiums to this company for 20 years faithfully. F&G informed him a year before his term policy was set to end that he had to cancel in writing, which he did via certified mail. He then got a letter from F&G confirming they received his cancellation request, AND he called them after that to make sure they would not try to take the new ridiculous premium of 1040.40 out of his account! I’ve never seen a company work this hard to make something simple so difficult. You can hand over your Social Security number over the phone, but when you want to cancel, suddenly you need to fax or WRITE a letter like it’s 1988. It’s not policy. It’s a trap. They took my money instantly and now claim it’ll take 30 days to give it back. That’s not a delay. That’s a choice.
