Inappropriate Masseuse – I like this club a lot. I've belonged for a few years now and it's a fairly clean and well-equipped gym. I've gotten a few massages over the years...which leads me to the next part of this review: DAVID M, the masseuse there, CROSSED THE LINE when he gave me my massage. What he did to me was utterly UNETHICAL and UNPROFESSIONAL and he should NOT have a massage license let alone a job at this point. I want to warn any woman against getting a massage from him. Good club but bikes get stolen all summer long – The club is not bad. Serious people who are into themselves really go here. Don't lock your bike up on Jackson Street in front of the club. People get there bikes stolen all summer long. Head of Security for the building has cameras there but Mark Dillman the guy in charge of securtiy won't try and make it safer or post a guard out there. I know guys who have lost 800 dollar bikes. Poor Service comes from Poor Pay and Poor Treatment of Staff – A club with such a pricey tag should be paying their employees, right? My few times in the gym, I've seen lots of sharp sales associates in their office-- management that sits around and socializes-- and a checkin person who is forced to stand for their entire shift. After the staff tried to kiss up to get my couple grand membership, they changed tones and didn't let me use the free guest pass... – In late 2006, I dropped by the gym to see the facility and get information on membership. One of their salespeople went through an interview with me to see what I was interested in, and I described that I was only really interested in the swimming pool. Nightmare Management – Just joined this club as a multi-branch member. Very dissatisfied. It's an okay "do-it-yourself" gym, but for the price I'd investigate other options first. Staff haven't a clue re customer service--surly, gossipy, "trainers" point to an instruction manual re use of machines, lack of available staff, knowledge deficits re exercise basics.
