IT'S SO HARD FOR ME TO BELIEVE ANY OF THAT, BECAUSE I TAKE MY GRANDMOTHER TO SEE HIM JUST THE SAME AND EVEN IF SHE DOESN'T HAVE AN APPOINTMENT OR ETC HE MAKES A WAY TO SEE HERHAS EVEN HAD HER DIRECT ADMITTED. I went to see Dr Salinas to find answers about a temporary diagnosis from some lab work ordered by another physician. The disease was life ending if I had it and nothing could be done. I’m ok thanks to repeat labs and negative chest CT’s. Dr. Salinas took the time to explain my CT results and wanted to recheck a shadow on there in 6 months. It was negative as well. I thank God for putting Dr. Salinas in my life to take care of me!!! He saved my life!!! He is so very caring, and attentive! He has awesome bedside manners and listens, answers, and explains for you to understand without rushing!! He treated me like this throughout my MONTH stay in the hospital, and even followed up on me while I was at home!!! Dr. Salinas has a wonderful bedside manner. And I have never had a problem with his care. However, when caring for patients a doctor should be up-to-date on the latest advancements and diseases, specifically in this case, anything that involves the lungs, as you don't keep getting second chances to get it right with someone's life. One of his nurses returned my call after I called the office with a request to tell me that "Dr. Salinas said that since you have had Covid-19 once, you should be immune." My mother has been to see Dr. Salinas 3 times. First visit the doctor was a no show. No call from the office. Second visit, after almost an hour wait we do see the doctor, he was very hard for me to understand due to mask and shield and my mother never understood anything he said. Third visit, after an hour and a half in the waiting room that by this time is standing room only and they have called all patients back that was waiting when we arrived and several that came in well after us. I cannot say enough great things about Dr Salinas. In 2003 when I first went to him, I was near death. Misdiagnosed by another doctor I had gotten weaker and weaker until I couldn’t walk over 10 feet and was coughing up blood. The first visit he diagnosed me with pneumonia but also found a heart condition. He helped get me stabilized and built up enough to get me to cardiologist and heart transplant team at UAB.
