We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Cabin at Loon Bay, Tie Lake, over the July long weekend.There was enough room (and bathrooms) for each of my kids and their families. The main living area was open and spaceous. The yard provided lots of space for games with the children. Hopefully we'll be back next year. July 2026- we came back for a second year! I stayed in Unit 41 . The place was well cleaned and the storage locker held two bikes was much appreciated. Kitchen had all the cookware you needed but besides salt and half a tsp of oil had no condiments. Linen was good quality Cons: Master bedroom is in desperate need of new bed. The box spring squeak's constantly with every movement. Rolling over wakes your partner up . The mattress also sags in spots. As a first time explorer of Fernie I would highly recommend staying at Silver Rock if it’s available. We stayed in the queen studio suite and it was excellent, everything you need is in the suite. The outdoor hot tub was a bonus after a day of hiking followed by the steam room. The proximity to the network of trails and accessibility to town was also great. The condo was as advertised, and exactly what I was looking for. It was very well stocked, clean, quiet, nice views and amenities.
Stayed for four nights at Silver Rock Room 117. The suite is perfect for a couple who has the option of saving money by having the use of a full kitchen. Did not take advantage of the other amenities as we were very busy with our granddaughter’s high school graduation. Arrival and departure was easy peasy. Would definitely consider using Silver Rock accommodations again.
