I have been seeing Dr. Mendoza for about 16 years. He has a wonderful manner. He’s a thoughtful doctor, very caring and very thorough. He calls me personally to give me test results so I can ask him questions or if I need clarification on something. I recommend Dr. Mendoza to everyone with a heart condition.
My boyfriend was referred to Dr. Mendoza last year. He went to his primary doctor, and it was determined he was in afib once again. We have had many encounters with Dr. Mendoza since, whether in the hospital for outpatient procedures or testing or checkups at his office. I think he's great! I prefer doctors who listen to me and don't doubt my concerns. I have an odd heart issue and he was skeptical when i first described it but he listened to me, ran a bunch of tests and could admit, I have an unusual heart issue. I'm not terribly concerned but mostly wanted a good doctor to track any changes with me as I age. I hope for him to be my cardiologist for decades to come. Plus, he has a sense of humor--to me an essential characteristic.
Dr. Mendoza establishes a supportive and authoritative connection. Takes time to explain and answer questions. I felt confident in accepting his recommendations.
Was four minutes late to my appointment, the most unfriendly woman at the check-in window rudely informed me of that (those were the first words from her mouth, not hello, no smile!) Because of being a new patient and being four minutes late, I was informed the Dr. could not see me. Therefore, no experience was had with Dr. Mendoza. I rescheduled for an appointment 16 days away and by the time I arrived home I decided to cancel my next appointment based on the horrible experience with staff.
