I had my appointment on 12/5/25, but no one informed me that the office had moved to a new location. After taking a half day off work and arriving at the new office, I was told I had an outstanding balance from a year ago — something I was never notified about beforehand. They refused to see me unless I paid it immediately, and said I’d have to reschedule if I didn’t. The communication was extremely poor, and the situation was entirely avoidable. I highly recommend to stay away from this DR due to the Receptionist ladies. They are so rude for no absolute reason. 9 months pregnant and i needed paper work to be filled out for my job and lady in the front with purple glasses just asked the most stupidest question ever, she really asked me if i was pregnant. She has seen me go into that office for alll my appointments and really asked me that dumb question. Like what kind of question is that??? I was so confused by her stupidity. Really horrible staff in the front. Most of the women working there need an attitude adjustment. The things my wife tells me that she goes through when she visits is very unprofessional. This is our first child and the last time we will ever use this doctors office.

I am beyond satisfied and happy with the treatment I had with both Dr. Otero and his staff in McAllen. Dr Otero delivered both my babies via c-section. The last one being 14 years ago. On August 13th I ended up having to have a Leep Procedure. Mind you I had done all my research. I saw YouTube videos on this procedure, I looked up reviews from women who had already had this procedure on different websites. I was scared beyond belief. So sad to see so many negative reviews due to front staff. But as for me I only have positive things to say when it comes to Dr Otero. He has been my doctor for 21 years now and he is so patient and kind. In the years that I have been with him yes I can say staff can sometimes be better but as far as my appointment goes today I was in at 930am and out before 11am staff was good and everything went smoothly. If I were to choose a dr I would chose Dr Otero again! He's delivered my children and taken care of me for years
