My wedding ring and bands are black rhodium plated, and the plating was definitely fading (and to boot one of the bands needed to be resoldered onto the main ring). Sean was through, and responsive both by email and phone, and he patiently explained the process of plating and used his camera and magnifying equipment to show me what he would be doing with the ring. Sean has crafted two beautiful rings for my wife and I. Both designs we submitted to him were unique and he drew upon his masterful knowledge and improved upon them. He cut the middle man and procured all of the minerals to make our rings for us, showing us the prices up front. His honest and exceptional craftsmanship as a metalsmith are breathtaking.
