I would not recommend using them for an appraisal unless it was a last resort. Our closing was stretched two weeks past original closing date because of poor communication. The appraisal was done three weeks earlier than the original closing date but was withheld until three days previous. The repairs requested were unnecessary and when we hired a contractor to dispute them (as was suggested when he stated in the appraisal that he was not competent in judging repairs it costs) he decided to make things even more complicated.... read more
