So my husband inquired about extending a 13 month old eyeglass prescription due to COVID and a lost pair of glasses. Person on the phone said he had to come in for a new exam, which he wasn’t comfortable with. They were slightly resistant about issuing a copy of the prescription but said they would. Due to insurance expiration and COVID 19 I needed to contact this office to find out what my prescription from 04/19/19 was so I could order new glasses without having to leave home or pay for an expensive eye exam. They refused my right to my prescription several times explaining it was last years and I needed a new exam. My sister had an appointment at Fenton Vision Center to get a new prescription because hers is years old. She has special needs and has terrible vision so glasses are a very important tool in her life. Due to COVID-19, Fenton Vision Center informed my older sister (who is my younger sisters caregiver) that in order to enter the building, they had to not only do a temperature check in their car, but also wear a mask the entire time she is getting her eyes checked. Appointments are easy to make and I was in and out quickly. They even game me a packet of information on my exam. Seem to have a good variety of frames available as well.
Two tries and I still can't see. They said if they have to order them again, I'd have to pay again. What?
