Dr Fellman listened carefully to my medical problems . He discussed the problems with me and was very thorough. I left feeling that I have a doctor I can trust and a doctor with a lot of knowledge and experience.
Dr Fellman took his time with me and was very calm and reassuraning yet honest. Felt confident in his judgment. I highly recommend him.
I am a Registered Nurse who worked at HackensackUMC for 15 years. I personally chose Dr. Fellman because of his reputation. He is intelligent, compassionate and very thorough. I first saw him in 1995 and then on occasion since then. About one week ago, I was refused an appointment because he does not participate in AARP Complete Plan 4 HMO!!! I offered to make up any difference in compensation to no avail! I am beyond shocked! I prefer not to have to start over with another Neurologist.
I’m just trying to make an appointment for my son which is 8 Years old and called the office requesting the appointment and they just told me they don’t see kids that age only 14 and older so my question is if he is a pediatric doctor why can’t they see my son? The front desk staff is not doing a great job.
a very useful and helpful visit. the doctor was very patient with us and answered all our questions. I had no questions left on my list! We left very reassured that we were in very good hands. We have friends who have seen him also and his fine reputation is well deserved.
Dr. Fellan was nice. Problem is the office. I am sitting on waiting room for 30 mins so far. No one tells me how long do I have to wait more for EMG test. Receptionist was not that kind. More like they are busy to shut that window don't talk to me atmosphere. Receptionist said they are going to call my name soon but it didn't happen so far. After this EMG test i really don't want to come back. My half day off is getting longer now.

This was a very unfortunate situation. A referral from her primary doctor was needed, which we had not received . Our patient waited while the staff tried to contact the primary doctor and it took a considerable amount of time to get through to his office and the doctor. Our EMG doctor was ready for her and waiting. Our fault was in not explaining the reason for the delay to the patient. The EMG doctor, the staff and office manager did apologize to the patient for the time she spent waiting.
Dr Fellman is a great doctor, unfortunately the office staff is not very friendly when you call to make appointments over the phone. You also have to wait a long time to get an appointment, even when explaining to the woman on the phone that you feel it is urgent. The person you talk to acts like they can care less and says go to the emergency room if it is urgent.

Dr. Fellman is very low-key and gentle. He is also straightforward--the kind of Dr. who hugs you and says: "You don't need a neurologist, anymore, but if you need one again, feel welcome to come back." He's sharp as a nail and explains everything; he makes images intelligible, so you can see what's going on. He comes in on a Saturday, if he has too many patients needing urgent care! The best!
