Worst Food Ever – Not sure how they stay in business! Both mine and my wife's dishes were bad. Blackend Shrimp was so salty and greasy my wife had to wipe food using napkins. My etouffee was so waterly and had to look for my crawfish and rice very hard. I thought NOLA was known for food and this was a real disappointment!

November 2009 Hey Everybody, Worst food in New Orleans.....stay away and save your money! Gumbo and oyster po-boys....think that would be OK? Seems as if the garbage cans were scrapped for our food! Go anywhere else..... Bogie

Worst. food. ever. – I went here because Acme had a long line and it was raining, and I was hungry. My gumbo had tiny black shrimp and my etouffee was only small pieces of meat and a little rice and the rest was drenched in hot sauce. my waitress was not a good one, my table never got refills on anything. I'd rather eat Popeye's than this again.

Pretty lousy – Friendly servers, but that's about it. We went b/c their was a line at Acme, now we know why. Shabby decor, muddy oysters, very bland po boys and etoufee. I think I have had better from fast food joints. ANd not cheap either. Two of us, one dozen oysters and two specials = $40. You can do much better.

stick to the Raw bar – I usually use Felix as a fall back to Acme when I can't get in. This trip we tried a few things, the raw oysters were sweet, cold, fresh. The chargrilled oysters were not cooked enough, the turtle soup was hardly edible and the gumbo was average at best. If you go here, stick to the raw bar; beer and oysters are a safe bet. Out service, during the BCS LSU Ohio state game was fine, not terrific, not terrible.

Horrible Customer Service I Wouldn't Wish on my Worst Enemy – They really went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we had a miserable experience. After waiting 30 minutes on a table, the manager suggests we split our party of 6 between 2 tables. Logically, you'd have one waiter looking after both tables, not the case. Table 1 ordered their drinks, their meal as we waited. About 10 minutes later their drinks and appetizers came while we (table 2) were still waiting on our waiter. We even brought it to the attention... read more

Downhill – I have been going here since 1971 and with each trip to Felix?s it has been slowly going down hill till nothing of its former glory remains. They have reduced the size and quality of the restaurant, oysters, food, you name it, it?s gone downhill! It you want better oysters go access the street to Acme, If you want the best, go to Casamento's on Magazine Street.

Try the balcony overlooking Bourbon Street – A nearly perfect visit included fresh oysters on the half-shell, cold Abita beer, a beautiful day and a view of Bourbon Street from the balcony dining area.

It's a New Orleans landmark – All the N.O. natives go here. The place is rustic, but the food is great and inexpensive, considering that it's on Bourbon St. I've eaten there for years, always good.
