If you have an emergency please do call 911. You will either be kept on hold forever, not exaggerating, or receive a return phone, as instructed, 3-4 days later. Booking a follow up 3 months out and forgot a colonoscopy the office will not get pre-authorization. Sad that Dr. Zwas' reputation will be damaged by the people that answer the phone. Will not return.
I have done a few colonoscopies and one endoscopy with Dr. Zwas. She has excellent bedside manners, listens carefully and is thorough, conducts herself professionally, and shows much care each time I was about to go under the anesthesia and afterward. I highly recommend her to anyone who needs a gastroenterologist.
I’ve been trying for three days to simply contact the office to schedule an appointment. It is impossible!!! - going elsewhere now.
Dr Zwas' schedulers are unprofessional and insensitive. They talk down to you from the get-go in a highly dismissive tone as if they are a brand new $100 bill and you are a dirty penny. For example, in a heavy-handed, too-bad-for-you tone: "Our wait list is probably 50 or more people; even if you have cancer, you need to wait until at least October (4 months)." They wouldn't listen to anything I was saying, and just cut me off in a raised voice every time I tried to say something.
I want to update my review from last year because I just had an upper endoscopy and colonoscopy with Dr. Zwas, so I can add that she has an exemplary bedside manner. As I was about to receive sedation she started taking quietly to me in a calm, soothing voice -- and she reached out and touched my arm. That touch and her reassurances made all the difference. Great doctor!
I have now seen Dr. Zwas three times and each time have been 150% impressed and grateful that she is my gastroenterologist. She listens attentively, makes sound recommendations, and is compassionate, reassuring and friendly. She cares. Seeing a gastroenterologist is not a fun activity, but she makes the visits comfortable. Every front desk/office person is very pleasant as well. Each time, I have left the office feeling I was in excellent hands. I have seen four gastroenterologists in my 70 years and find her to be the absol... read more
Dr. Zwas is the best GI around. She is compassionate, caring and patient-centered. The entire team of doctors in the practice are the best. ?
Dr. Zwas was the first person to diagnose me solely based on my history of blood tests. Of course once I went through the series of tests, PBC was confirmed. She's honest, caring, patient and follows through on returning phone calls. I highly recommend her.
Dr. Zwas is a caring and knowledgeable doctor. I highly recommend her.
