I am giving them more than one star because they saved my mother's life. However, their communication is terrible. The surgeon failed to tell her that her bowel perforation was caused by cancer. She found out at a follow-up appointment two months (!) later. Also, they failed to explain that she needed a minimum of 64 ounces of fluid per day, some in the form of Gatorade or Pedialyte to balance her electrolytes. I was transferred from Gettysburg to Chambersburg after an ER visit as Chambersburg could perform my needed surgery immediately. All the staff during my 4 day stay was great from start to finish. I would highly recommend.
From Waynesboro Hospital to Chambersburg Hospital they took incredible care of my husband. The nurse nurses are efficient, friendly nice. Every person that we came in contact with that works, there was incredibly helpful. They took really good care of my husband and I’m forever grateful for that. My only complaint was that they didn’t come in and change the sheets and the blankets every day. No one from janitorial services came and mopped the floors or cleaned out the bathroom so that was my only issue I shouldn’t have had t... read more
WORST HOSPITAL EVER. I went here because I was having terrible back and side pain near my ovaries, to the point where I could not move. The staff told me I was just dehydrated, gave me an IV, and sent me home. No medication, did not do any x rays, nothing. The pain continued, and I ended up going to a hospital back home in MD, where they stated it was a kidney infection and I should have never been discharged without further monitoring and testing.
