The place was packed before the Tom Petty concert at G1C and we were seated fairly quickly the service was not perfect but the food was and there was a commotion about the bill ( we wanted separate checks) it was a good experience, not perfect, will return.
Looking for delicious Chinese food in a classy atmosphere, with attentive and friendly staff. This is the place to make the reservations to enjoy it. Would provide five stars, but the men's restroom had a few defects that needed tending. That said, favorite dishes are their brandy chicken and the steak with caramelized onions. I personally didn't indulge in the banana cream pie, but others at my table did and found it a little slice of heaven. Cheers!

One of our favorite spots👍🏻Kenneth is by far the Best manager ever😍We will be back again very soon!!!
Celebrated my birthday with family. Service was excellent and the food is always delicious and scrumptious!! The Sand Gai Shee noodles are a must as well as the combination platter appetizer and Mongolian beef. We love it there!!!
The Peanut Duck is as great as it was in the 50's when I first ate at Frank Fats, exceptional decor and superlative service are the keys to their ongoing success. This restaurant was down the street from my Grandfathers Hotel the Fairmont at 6th and L and my Uncle's hotel at 5th & K the Sierra. It was like going home to eat at Frank Fat's or Hong Kim Lum. We had quite a few parties there one I'll always remember is my cousin a Ken's party before he left the states for Army service in Vietnam. We had Peking Duck and Peanut Du... read more

What a wonderful walk down memory lane! I'm glad to hear the consistency with the duck is still there after nearly 65 plus years! Thank you John Mizutani. We appreciate the kind words and are happy you feel at home at Frank Fat's. Looking forward to seeing you again soon. Cheers!
The best Chinese food in Northern California. Service is equal to the food.
Business response:
Thanks for the kind words Eugene Stephens!
Rubbery calamari is a death mark. And when I order my steak medium rare/medium I don't expect near tartar - not for a $35 steak. I also don't expect to have an empty water glass for 10 minutes and to have to ask for a refill (on a 100+ degree summer day). When dinner for 2 is $120 with cocktails - mediocre doesn't cut it.
