Dr.Ramos-Marcuse is a warm, compassionate, and an excellent prescriber. I can genuinely tell you that her expertise in trauma based therapy saved my life!
The absolute WORST psychiatrist I have ever seen. I was a teenager struggling with regular depression and anxiety. I was put on copious amounts of medication such as stimulants, benzos, mood stabilizers, sleeping pills. I had started to notice all the medications made me a shell of a person and I was in a mild psychosis. I would plead with her to lower my dosages, or hopefully take me off such strong medications when I had vocalized that they were not working and in fact having a more negative affect. Believes my bipolar disorder/psychosis is ADHD/an overactive imagination, refused to up my antipsychotic because it causes weight gain even though I was suffering from severe psychosis, and pushes me to take a medication that causes my tinnitus to get worse and causes severe insomnia.
