Completely and totally unprofessional in the business sense. Don’t get me wrong they braid beautifully but you have to repeatedly tell them how you want it and they still may not get it how you stated - beautiful or not. The owner will give you one price and the workers do not stick to it. When the braids (that were not the size I wanted despite showing multiple pictures and stopping twice to say they were too small) were done I told them the price that the owner quoted me and they acted as if I spat in their face. If you don’t want to get disappointed, please stay away from these people. They’re highly unprofessional and do not care. They also lack good communication skills!
I made an appointment about 3 weeks in advance to get my hair done only for me to get to their shop on Monday and realizing it was closed. I called the woman in charge and she said she was going to reach out to her “sister” and that she completely forgot to tell her “sister” that someone was coming to do her hair. She also lied she was in Ghana or some other African country (while calling with an American number btw, idk if she thought she was talking to someone who was born yesterday). I texted and had a conversation with the owner about the size braids, length, and color. I also included a picture in the text message and was told a price. I get to the shop and I’m told the is a huge price difference. Which would be fine if it’s $20 more but a $100 price difference is insane. My appointment also got pushed back 4 hours on the same day with 30 minute notice. It’s not a good look when the communication is bad, there’s no AC in the shop, and flies everywhere. Very unprofessional establishment. I had an appointment scheduled for 8am which I arrived for ON TIME and nobody was there. After waiting until 8:45am for someone to open up the shop I still received no service. I waited until 11:30am to see if I would be serviced by someone but I still was not serviced what so ever. I left the establishment because I no longer wanted to wait for someone to do my hair. To charge over $300 for hairstyles when you can’t even keep up with appointments is insane.
