Best doggone ham ever
I cant remember a single year without a Gatton ham breakfast for Christmas morning. I was trying to call you guys when I found the Article saying you had closed and realized this would be the first. Thank you for all you have done for the community and enjoy the well deserved retirement! Merry Christmas!
I bought a country ham last year 2024 and it was delicious. The sausage was wonderful as well. Getting ready to place my order for 2025.
I purchased a ham and smoked sausage, and unfortunately, both were of very poor quality. The smoked sausage was stuck to the muslin cloth so tightly that it was impossible to separate the two, leaving me with only about 45% of what I paid for. The ham was extremely dry and appeared to have been aged far too long—its texture was comparable to wood. I saw a special deal where I received breakfast sausage bacon, and ham slices so I bought it. What a mistake! The ham was so salty. I had to let it sit in water for a while before I could pan fry it, and I even poured in red eye gravy to try to get rid of the salt to no avail.. The sausage patties were edible. The bacon was the worst bacon I’ve ever had from anywhere. It had a chemical taste, and it was so salty. I had to boil it in water before I could pan fry it.. i’ll never buy anything again from farmers Country ham.
