I've known this man all my life when he was just plain Rick, then it happened Memphis Style BBQ ribs along with gator and other items then Mix Walts fried Chicken and plenty of sides, he couldn't help but become FAT RICK, with those ribs and chicken he became the giant in the restaurant and catering business, with all the delicious foods there is one more main ingredient that help make Fat Rick's what it is to day, Mrs. Tina Betz she been by his side for 44yrs!!! Enjoyed the food and service when I was 17 yo... And I'm still lovin' it at 34 yo. Fat Rick's is a Delaware staple!
I visited Fat Rick's BBQ cafe in Foulkstone Plaza yesterday to pick up provisions for dinner. Happy to report that their chicken barbecue and pulled pork barbecue are VERY tasty. I lived in North Carolina for 13 years, so I'm glad to finally find a place in Wilmington that gets BBQ right. Great sauces, too. Fresh creamy coleslaw and sweet cornbread complete a great meal. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Give this place a try!
Our graduation cook out celebration was a great success! Every one really enjoyed the menu & service!
