The food was fabulous, but the service was even better! We'll be back next year!
Best seafood. In the OBX
Didn't enjoy this eatery. Our family vacation and visited July 6, 2015. Our family had to split up, no table to accommodate 12. We had to get our own drinks; food portions were small; silverware didn't exist, we ate with sporks on plastic plates portioned like a TV dinner; no bill was given cause each couple had to go to the register and pay for whatever they ate/drank. Very confusing and unorganized place. Food was not worth the trip or negative experience. Just FYI.
This place is horrible.. tried to place a large order (around 10 people) worth a lot of money for take out and they became quickly overwhelmed.. the ad prominently says "eat in or carry out", obviously that is not the case.. avoid a place that can't handle (nor care to lose a lot of business for that matter) what seemed like a routine order for a family on vacation - there are too many seafood joints down here to put up with this crap, just avoid it... Hey Ricki, sorry about your experience but the Fatcrabs crew is fully capable of handling a large order...Things can surely become overwhelming when everyone in Corolla wants takeout dinner at the same time. But we do the best we can as a small business... and i assure you our chefs are the best at what they do. please don't be angry because we place quality of product above volume.
The shrimp were to die for and our waitress Lee was great and very friendly. KUDOS
Awesome place we had a large party but they never batted an eye they quickly seated US and did awesome taking care of us. Food was awesome also prices we thought were right on for what you get!
The food was great! We had to wait a while for our food, and they didn't seem too packed. They also did not have any air conditioning :/ We would probably eat there again though for the food!
Fried scallops were so good that we went back again the next night for more. Friendly staff, excellent food, a very enjoyable experience on our first trip to the outer banks. We'll be back again next year for sure.
Service felt a little scattered. They had run out of crab dip at 7 had really hoped to try it. Restaurant was very hot. We were a group of 11. So we had a few menu items all were very good.
