In town and visiting friends who made the move from Broward County to Waynesville, they suggested Fat Buddies Ribs & Barbecue. They had eaten there and loved it. Closes at 9, was told they turned the light off at 8:25 and decided to close early. Turned away!
RecommendedFirst trip as we were passing through and the food was amazing!!!!!!!! Ribs are to die for and sweet potato was spot on. Jessica was a very sweet and knowledgeable about the menu and favorites. Definitely will be back. Road trips in the Jeep make hunting for new places all the fun.
Those sweet potato tots with the dipping butter are the bomb!

Took my son to eat here yesterday for his birthday. The cashier that rung me up charged me $15.54 on top of my bill. I have no idea why. It wasn't the tip because I always pay my tip in cash. I've called all day and they refuse to refund me. They say it's a fee from my bank. I use a credit union & have never been charged a fee in the 15+ yrs I've banked with them. I understand businesses are suffering due to Covid but it's unethical to steal from customers. I urge all who eat here to check their charges. I will never be back... read more
I was just there this past Saturday. I ordered the ribs and chicken. Everything was Awesome, service and food.
We eat our lunch at Fat Buddies and my kids and wife love the food!We highly recommend Fat Buddies restaurant when you visit Lake Junaluska Waynesville, NC.
The service is great, the Bar B Que is delicious and the mushroom are out of this world!! I am looking forward to going back up there as soon as this Virus is gone!!❤️
