This is my third time going to Fastenal trying to source some odd sized automotive fasteners and my third time walking out empty handed. This time I walked in and they plainly told me that it wasn't worth their time trying to find everything I needed and that they didn't carry any metric flanged fasteners. So I just ordered a thread and bolt gauge and will from now on be ordering online for everything. Kind of shocking how limited their selection of fasteners is given their name.

I went in to pick up a specific bolt at a strength and length that isn't carried at hardware or auto parts store for my truck. As soon as I walked in the associate walked me back to the bolts, guessed the size correct by eyeing it, then took the time to walk me through gauging the size by measuring it compared to simply screwing it into something... this wasn't necessary because the repair manual listed what I needed but it's always good to know that people still take pride in what they do.
